MADE THESE SCONES THIS MORNN N MY HUSBAND KEPT ON SAYN THEY R DELICIOUS... I GOTTA AGREE WITH HIM... AN EASY RECIPE A REAL KEEPER :)

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons cold butter, cubed n refrigerated
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup fresh strawberries, choppd
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream, to brush ontop of scones
  • 2 tablespoons sugar, to sprinkle ontop of scones

How To Make strawberry scone

  • Step 1
    PREHEAT OVEN TO 400 LINE A BAKING SHEET WITH PARCHMENT PAPER. CUT BUTTER INTO CUBES N RETURN TO FRIDGE.
  • Step 2
    COMBINE FLOUR, 3 TBLSPNS OF SUGAR, BAKING POWDER N SALT. ADD COLD CUBED BUTTER... PINCH N RUB WITH UR FINGERTIPS UNTIL BUTTER IS WELL DISTRIBUTED, MIXTURE SHOULD LOOK LIKE COARSE MEAL.
  • Step 3
    GENTLY STIR IN EGGS N 1/3 CUP HEAVY CREAM UNTIL MIXTURE FORMS A SOFT DOUGH. STIR IN CHOPPD STRAWBERRIES.
  • Step 4
    ON A LIGHTLY FLOURED WORK SURFACE PAT DOUGH INTO A 1" THICK RECTANGLE ABOUT 10" LONG. CUT DOUGH INTO 8 TRIANGLES N BRUSH WITH HEAVY CREAM N SPRINKLE WITH SUGAR.
  • Step 5
    BAKE FOR 20 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. SERVE WARM WITH BUTTER OR JAM...ENJOY :)
