I got this off of fb, it is our absolute fave apple recipe of all time. Hubby likes it for breakfast.

Ingredients
- 2 packages pillsbury crescent rolls
- 2 - apples (your choice)
- 1 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 dash cinnamon
- 12 ounces mountain dew (trust me)
How To Make pioneer woman's apple dumplings

Step 1Peel and core apples. Cut into 8 slices each

Step 2Open and separate crescent rolls. Roll each apple slice in 1 crescent roll.

Step 3Place into a 9x13 baking dish.

Step 4Melt butter. Add sugar, barely stir in. Add Vanilla.

Step 5Pour over apples.

Step 6Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan.

Step 7Sprinkle liberally with cinnamon.

Step 8Bake at 350* for 40 minutes. This is very easy to cut in 1/2, making only 8 dumplings. It is a very forgiving recipe, you can use Diet Dew/Sprite, Sierra Mist, Splenda, oleo, low fat crescent rolls. We like it best full fat/sugar and flavor.
