4 largegranny smith apples (2lbs), peeled, thinly sliced
1/2 cpacked brown sugar, divided (can use splenda brown sugar)
2 tspground cinnamon, divided
1/3 cold fashioned or quick cooking oats
1/4 ccold margarine
25reduced fat vanilla wafers, crushed
1 1/2 ccool whip lite whipped topping
How to Make Nilla Apple Crisp
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Toss apples with 1/4 c. brown sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon. Spoon into 8 or 9 inch square baking dish.
- Combine oats, remaining sugar and cinnamon in medium bowl. Cut in margarine with pasty blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in wafer crumbs.; sprinkle over apples.
- Bake 30-35 minutes or until apples are tender. Served topped with cool whip.
