Apples, pears and cranberries..oh my! What a harvest!! Delicious and so easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 2 c
    cold water, divided
  • 3
    apples, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 3
    pears, ( your favorite kind,) peeled, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c
    fresh cranberries, ( or you can use dried cranberries, but fresh taste better.)
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1-1/2 c
    heart healthy bisquick mix
  • 1/2 c
    1% milk

How to Make Harvest fruit cobbler

Step-by-Step

  1. In saucepan, combine sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and 1-3/4 cup of water. bring to a boil. Stir in apples, pears, cranberries and lemon juice. return to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered about 10 mins or until fruit is tender, stirring occasionally.
  2. In small bowl, combine cornstarch and remaining water, whisk well. pour into fruit mix in saucepan. Cook 2 mins, or until thickened, stirring constantly. Heat oven to 400. Spray a 9" x 13" baking pan w/ cooking spray.
  3. Spoon fruit mix into baking pan. In bowl, combine bisquick mix and milk until just blended. Drop by spoonfuls onto fruit mix. Bake 15-20 mins, or until biscuits are lightly browned.
