Apples, pears and cranberries..oh my! What a harvest!! Delicious and so easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 cups cold water, divided
  • 3 - apples, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 3 - pears, ( your favorite kind,) peeled, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries, ( or you can use dried cranberries, but fresh taste better.)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1-1/2 cup heart healthy bisquick mix
  • 1/2 cup 1% milk

How To Make harvest fruit cobbler

  • Step 1
    In saucepan, combine sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and 1-3/4 cup of water. bring to a boil. Stir in apples, pears, cranberries and lemon juice. return to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered about 10 mins or until fruit is tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Step 2
    In small bowl, combine cornstarch and remaining water, whisk well. pour into fruit mix in saucepan. Cook 2 mins, or until thickened, stirring constantly. Heat oven to 400. Spray a 9" x 13" baking pan w/ cooking spray.
  • Step 3
    Spoon fruit mix into baking pan. In bowl, combine bisquick mix and milk until just blended. Drop by spoonfuls onto fruit mix. Bake 15-20 mins, or until biscuits are lightly browned.
