drema's "orange dessert" fondue

Ooohhhh boy is this good! Great for get togethers and around dessert time. You can use most anything for your dippers. I have listed our fave's below. Impress and enjoy!

yield Makes abouat 2 cups - adjust accordingly

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar, granulated
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon lemon peel zest
  • 1 teaspoon orange peel zest

How To Make drema's "orange dessert" fondue

  • Step 1
    In medium saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. slowly stir in orange and lemon juice. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and add in zest(s).
  • Step 2
    Pour mixture into fondue pot with heat to keep warm. Serve with the following or your own concoctions!
  • Step 3
    Serving Dippers: gingerbread squares, cream cheese squares rolled in toasted sesame seed, cantaloupe balls, donut slices, pound cake squares, angel food squares.
