This recipe is so simple it was even a hit at a tailgating party and easy to make on the grill. David simply warmed the fillings right in the cans in a pot of water while grilling sausages and creating one crepe after another in a small skiller

Ingredients

  • CREPES

  • 2 large
    eggs
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    dry pancake mix
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • ·
    butter for the skillet
  • FILLING

  • 1 pkg
    soft cream cheese (8 0z.)
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • TOPPING

  • 1 can(s)
    fruit pie filling (shown here with blueberry and cherry)

How to Make David's Cream Filled Crepes

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine all crepe ingredients except butter for the skillet and blend till smooth
  2. Batter should be the consistency of half and half
  3. Refrigerate batter for at least one hour
  4. Combine filling ingredients and warm pie fillings
  5. To prepare crepes melt butter in a small non stick skillet and pour in batter. Cook over medium heat and carefully flip with a thin spatula
  6. Place cooked crepe on a plate, fill with cream cheese filling, top with warmed pie filling and sprinkle with powdered sugar
