I have been making for a long time. My grampa used to make this as I was a child. Very easy..my children loved this.

Ingredients

  • 1 - fresh whole pineapple
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • - frozen yogurt or ice cream

How To Make caramelized pineapple

  • Step 1
    Core & peel the pineapple, slice it lengthwise into eighths.
  • Step 2
    Heat the butter in large non-stick skillet over high heat. Coat pineapple wedges with sugar; place in hot pan. Cook, turning once & shaking pan often, until golden brown, about 8 to 10 minutes. Remove pineapple.
  • Step 3
    Stir water into pan, & heat briefly, drizzle over pineapple. Serve with frozen yogurt or ice cream.
