This is a unique pie. I got this recipe from a friend who always makes this at Easter time. It is very good and I hope you enjoy it.

1 c
sugar

eggs, well beaten
1 stick
butter, melted
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1/2 c
raisins
1/2 c
pecans, chopped
1/2 c
coconut, shredded
1 tsp
vinegar, white

8 inch pie crust

How to Make Japanese Raisin Pie

Step-by-Step

  • 1preheat oven to 325 degrees
  • 2line a pie plate with your favorite pie pastry- homemade or store bought. this pie will be baked in an uncooked pie crust.
  • 3In a large bowl, mix butter and sugar. Add eggs.
  • 4Add raisins, coconut and pecans and beat until well blended.
  • 5mix in vanilla and vinegar and pour mixture into unbaked pie crust.
  • 6bake 40-45 minutes until set.
