This is a unique pie. I got this recipe from a friend who always makes this at Easter time. It is very good and I hope you enjoy it.

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs, well beaten
  • 1 stick
    butter, melted
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c
    raisins
  • 1/2 c
    pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    coconut, shredded
  • 1 tsp
    vinegar, white
  • 1
    8 inch pie crust

How to Make Japanese Raisin Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. preheat oven to 325 degrees
  2. line a pie plate with your favorite pie pastry- homemade or store bought. this pie will be baked in an uncooked pie crust.
  3. In a large bowl, mix butter and sugar. Add eggs.
  4. Add raisins, coconut and pecans and beat until well blended.
  5. mix in vanilla and vinegar and pour mixture into unbaked pie crust.
  6. bake 40-45 minutes until set.
