Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked black lentils
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

How To Make chocolate lentil brownies

  • Step 1
    Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  • Step 2
    In a food processor, puree lentils, chocolate chips, applesauce, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Step 3
    Add coco powder, and salt. Puree until well combined. Then, stir walnuts into the batter.
  • Step 4
    Line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper leaving enough paper to stick out the sides. Spoon batter into the pan. Bake for about 30-35 minutes. Cool before cutting.
