You may use 3/4 C cocoa w/ 4 T butter - melted together, instead of the 4 oz. unsweetened cocoa squares (Baker's chocolate - or similar).
I have tried this recipe many different ways - it is still the best!

  • 1
    4 oz. unsweetened chocolate square bar (baker's)
  • 2 stick
    butter
  • 2 c
    sugar !!
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 1/4 c
    flour (gluten free or regular)
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt

How to Make Best Brownies Ever

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt butter w/ cocoa or unsweetened chocolate bar in microwave
  2. Add sugar, eggs, flour, vanilla and salt
  3. Place batter in greased 9 x 13 pan
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min.
  5. Ice w/ canned icing if desired after brownies are cooled
