Use the cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving and Christmas. You can use the cranberry sauce as a filling for my Czech Kolache or Gluten Free Czech Kolache recipes that I posted. It makes it to where the sweet yeast rolls have the cranberries in the center. Use coconut palm sugar that you can find at a health food store for a lower glycemic index for diabetics or to be healthier.

Ingredients

cranberries, fresh
1 tsp.
cinnamon
1 tsp.
pure vanilla extract
1
tangerine or lemon
1 cup
sugar or coconut palm sugar
1 cup
water

How to Make Tangy Cranberry Sauce

Step-by-Step

  • 1Use double boiler and add 1 cup sugar or coconut palm sugar, 1 cup water, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon vanilla.
  • 2Grate peel of one tangerine or lemon and juice into mixture.
  • 3Stir occasionally cranberry mixture over double boiler adding more water to keep double boiler from running out of boiling water. Stir mixture until all the cranberries have popped open & started to thicken.
