These delicious cookies were a favorite in my family when I was growing up. I'm pretty sure my mother still makes them

Ingredients For sour cream walnut cookies

  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 1 c
    dairy sour cream
  • ½ tsp
    vanilla
  • 4 1/2 c
    flour
  • 4 tsp
    baking powder
  • ½ tsp
    soda
  • ¼ tsp
    salt
  • ½ c
    chopped walnuts

How To Make sour cream walnut cookies

    In a large mixing bowl cream sugar and butter until fluffy. Blend in eggs, then sour cream and vanilla.

    In a separate bowl sift together remaining ingredients. Stir dry ingredients gradually into first mixture. Fold in nuts.

    Drop by spoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 18 to 20 minutes.
