Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup colored sugar
- - candy sprinkles
How To Make rainbow snickerdoodles

Step 1Preheat oven to 375. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. In med. bowl, stir together flour, cream of tartar, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt and set aside. In a large bowl, beat shortening, butter, sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, and vanilla, mix well. Add flour mixture to shortening mixture, mix only until incorporated. Roll dough into balls, then roll balls into colored sugar or candy sprinkles to coat. Place on pan. Bake 8-10 min. until lightly browned, but still soft. cool.
