Ingredients

  • 1 stick
    butter softened
  • 1 large
    egg
  • 2/3 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    oatmeal (i used rolled oats non instant)
  • 1 1/4 c
    flour (more if needed to make a firm batter)
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c
    assorted chips (i used milk chocolate and peanut butter)

How to Make Oatmeal Chip Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Mix egg, butter, baking powder, vanilla, salt, and sugar together until fluffy. Mix in the oatmeal and flour then fold in the chips.
  3. Drop by spoon fulls onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges start to brown. Do not over bake.
