mom's seven layer bars
We have made these bars in my family for years! I usually make them at Christmas time. But, as my son, Nick, says, "These shouldn't be just a cookie for Christmas!". They are super easy and delicious!

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cups finely crushed graham crackers
- 6 ounces (1 cup) semisweet chocolate chips
- 6 ounces (1 cup) butterscotch pieces
- 1 1/2 cups flaked coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 14 ounces can (1 1/3 cups) sweetened condensed milk

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Melt butter; stir in crushed graham crackers. Pat crumb mixture evenly in bottom of an ungreased 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Layer, in order, chocolate pieces, butterscotch pieces, coconut, and walnuts. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over all.

Step 3Bake in a 350 degree oven 30 minutes; cool. Cut into bars. Makes 36 to 48.
