peanut butter eggs

Great for Easter or anytime, very easy. This is my grandmother's recipe, and they're perfect for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients For peanut butter eggs

  • 1/2 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 c
    creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 1/3 c
    powered sugar
  • 1 c
    crushed graham crackers
  • 1 bag
    chocolate chips
  • 2
    blocks almond bark
  • 1-2 Tbsp
    shortening

How To Make peanut butter eggs

  • 1
    Cream butter, peanut butter, vanilla. Add powdered sugar and graham crackers and mix. You want it to be stiff. Shape into egg shapes using a plastic egg (half of the egg).

    Place on wax paper and freeze. till your chocolate is melted and dip your eggs and put back on wax paper to cool Or set in frig to set.

    Melt the chocolate chips or bark with the Crisco (it helps the chocolate to stick) - I use my double boiler to melt the chocolate. Dip the eggs into the chocolate and place back on the wax paper to cool or place in the fridge to set.

    Great for the Easter basket. You can be creative and make any shape.
