This is an interestingly delicious and relatively easy dessert. The recipe comes from a Michigan cook book.

    egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 c
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 14
    ritz crackers, crushed
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts
  • ·
    ice cream

How to Make Ritz Dessert


  1. Preheat oven to 325 ˚F.
  2. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar and sugar until stiff, but not dry. Add baking powder & vanilla, beat until mixed in. Fold in crushed crackers and nuts. Pour into an 8 ½ X 11 inch baking dish.
  3. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Let cool and cut into squares.
  4. Serve topped with ice cream.
