Ingredients

  • CAKE:
  • 1 large box moist deluxe chocolate cake mix
  • 1 small box instant vanilla pudding
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil, mixed with 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (pure)
  • FILLING:
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 20 large marshmallows
  • 1 1/3 cups coconut
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (pure)
  • FUDGE ICING:
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 6 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla (pure)

How To Make peter paul mound cake

  • Step 1
    Mix cake mix, pudding, oil, 4 eggs, milk and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Divide between 3 greased and floured 8 or 9" cake pans. Bake as directed on cake mix box. Cool thoroughly.
  • Step 2
    In a saucepan, combine butter, sugar and milk. Boil together for 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Add other ingredients and mix until smooth. Spread between layers and stack as you go.
  • Step 3
    Mix remaining ingredients together until smooth. Spread on top layer and over sides. Add more milk, if needed.
