Ingredients
- 6 - eggs, separated
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 - lemons
- 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 - angel food cake, pieces
- 1 package cool whip whipped topping
How To Make lemon angel custard dessert

Step 1Combine 6 egg yolks, sugar, and juice of 2 lemons in a double boiler, and cook over med. heat until thickened; Remove from heat

Step 2Soften gelatin in cold water until dissolved; add to custard and mix in well; set aside

Step 3Beat egg whites until stiff, slowly add 3/4 cup sugar, mixing well; fold into custard mix

Step 4In a baking dish break up the angel food cake into pieces; pour the custard mixture over the cake pieces; cover and refrigerate for 24 hours, serve with whipped cream
