I've been on a chocolate fix for awhile. I'm sure you can guess that by the posted recipes, lol. Here's one I love for anytime, breakfast, snack, etc.

Ingredients

1-1/4 c
all purpose flour
3/4 c
whole wheat flour
1/4 c
sugar
1/4 c
light brown sugar
3 Tbsp
cocoa powder
1-1/2 tsp
baking soda
3/4 c
fat-free milk
3/4 c
unsweetened applesauce
1 Tbsp
canola oil
1 Tbsp
molasses
2 tsp
balsamic vinegar
1 tsp
vanilla
3/4 c
dark chocolate chips

How to Make dark chocolate muffins

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat oven to 350. Spray 18 muffin cups w/ cooking spray. In lg bowl, combine flours, sugars, cocoa powder and baking soda. Make a well in center of mix.
  • 2In another bowl, mix together milk, applesauce, oil, molasses, vinegar and vanilla. Add to flour mix. Stir until combined.
  • 3Stir in 1/2 the chocolate chips. Fill muffin cups just over 1/2 full. Sprinkle w/ remaining chocolate chips. Bake 15 mins.
