Babka means bundtcake in Polish.This is very good recipe.It's not to sweet.I bake this Babka often for Easter.I baked it today and I can't stop eating it.

all purpose flour
5 large
eggs, separated
3/4 c
1 Tbsp
cocoa powder
1/2 c
chocolate hazelnut spread
1 c
hazelnut meal or almond
1 pinch
3 tsp
baking powder
4 Tbsp
1 stick
chocolate glaze;
4 oz
dark chocolate
4 Tbsp

How to Make Chocolate Hazelnut Babka with Chocolate Glaze


  • 1Mix butter and sugar with electric mixer until fluffy.Add hazelnut spread.Add egg yolks ,one at the time.
  • 2In separate bowl mix together the flour, baking powder, hazelnut meal and cocoa.
  • 3Add alternatively flour mixture and milk until combine.
  • 4Beat the egg whites until they form stiff pick.Add gently to hazelnut mixture.
  • 5Pour the dough to greased bundtcake pan and bake for 30 minutes in 320 F preheat oven.Then increase to 350 F and bake for another 30 minutes or until toothpick comes clean.
  • 6For the glaze: Melt the chocolate and butter in double boiler and glaze on top of cool cake.
