I use this to decorated my Sour Cream cut out cookies, and my cakes. It's creamy and fluffy, and spreads well.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 8 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 8-12 tablespoons cream

How To Make buttercream frosting

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl cream butter and powdered sugar on low until combined. This can be messy so slowly beat.
  • Step 2
    Add vanilla and enough of the cream, a little at a time, just to get the desired consistency for frosting.
  • Step 3
    If you want to color this. I would suggest using a paste, or gel, food coloring.
