Ingredients

  • CAKE
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 3 - eggs
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 - apples
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 cup pecans, in pieces
  • ICING
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make brown sugar apple cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Spray a bundt cake pan with cooking spray. Peel, core and thinly chop the apples. In a large mixing bowl mix all ingredients together except raisins and pecans, on high speed until very well blended. (about 3 minutes)
  • Step 2
    Stir in raisins and pecans until well distributed. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake at 325 degrees F. for 1 hour, or until a tooth pick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  • Step 3
    When cake is completely cooled, invert it onto your serving platter then prepare the icing by stirring all ingredients together till of drizzling consistency. Drizzle all over the cake top.
