1 package cream cheese (softened)
1 c
sugar
1/2 c
powdered sugar

egg
1 tsp
almond extract
2 3/4 c
flour
1/2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt

FOR FROSTING

1/2 c
butter (softened)
4 1/2 c
powdered sugar
1/4 c
milk
1/2 tsp
vanilla
1/2 tsp
almond extract

FOOD COLORING (I USED THE NEON GREEN GEL - WORKED PERFECT!!)

How to Make Spooky Monster Eye Sugar Cookies

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven o 375.
  • 2Cream butter, cream cheese and sugars in large bowl (or Kitchen-Aid) until fluffy.
  • 3In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  • 4Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Stir until soft dough forms
  • 5Roll out and cut with cookie cutter. Thin dough will make crunchy cookies. If you want soft dough, it needs to be about ⅜ in. {NOTE: Try not to handle the dough too much}
  • 6Bake 8-10 minutes on greased pan. Let Cool.
  • 7For frosting, mix ingredients with hand mixer. If too thick, add a tid more milk.
  • 8{NOTE: 1 batch of frosting is enough for 2 batches of cookie dough}
