1Mix butter with sugar. Add flour, pinch of salt and mix well.
2Roll about 1/2 inch thick on floured board and shape with juice glass (OR) biscuit cutter.
3Bake on lightly greased and floured pan at 350°F for about 20 minutes.
Note: As with any recipe and baking, ovens and altitudes vary widely. Check your oven after about 15 mins, to know if 20 mins will be needed for perfect yummy's.
4NOTE: This is a basic shortning bread recipe. You can add allspice, cinnamon, almond flavor, etc. Also very good with ground or finely chopped pecans, almonds and my favorite Ozark Mountain Black Walnuts.
