This was gave to me years ago by a friend, it was her mothers recipe. I really like this cookie and it' became a family favoret.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup white karo syrup
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 6 cups rice krispies
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips

How To Make scotcharoos

  • Step 1
    in a pot mix 1 cup sugar, and karo syrup. bring to a boil, add peanut butter, and mix well to desolve.take off heat and let stand while you mix the next ingreiednts.
  • Step 2
    in a large bowl put rice krispies, and pour cooked mixture over the cereal and stir well to mix.
  • Step 3
    then pour into a lightly greased baking sheet and press down well .
  • Step 4
    melt the chocolate chips and the butterscotch chips in a double boiler, then spered over the cereal mixture. cool until hardened cut into bars .
