My Aunt Eleanor made the best cookies and many of my recipes are ones she gave my Mom or me. These are so good and taste great with the added sprinkled powder sugar on them. I love how the house smells when I make these Holiday traditions.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1
    egg well beaten
  • 1 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 c
    powder sugar for dusting when cooled

How to Make Peanut Butter Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Cream butter and peanut butter.
    Add sugars gradually
    Add beaten eggs
    Add flour and mix in
  2. Form dough in to little balls, the size of a walnut.
  3. Place on lightly greased baking sheet,
  4. With fork make a criss cross across balls to flatten them slightly,
  5. Bake 375 degrees for 10-12 min.
    When cooled dust with powder sugar
