Ingredients
- 1 1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons finely grated orange peel
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
How To Make orange shortbread

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9" square baking pan.

Step 2Beat butter and the 1/2 cup sugar with electric mixer until creamy. Beat in orange peel. Stir in flour and and cornstarch until blended.

Step 3Spread mixture in prepared pan. Chill 30 minutes.

Step 4With a sharp knife, score dough in 1 1/2x3 inch bars. Sprinkle with remaining tablespoon of sugar. Bake 50 minutes or until golden. Cut through scored lines.
