These are Swedish sugar cookies...and they are simple devine!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup european or organic raw butter, room temp.
  • 2 - exlarge organic eggs, separated, room temp.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • FROSTING
  • 2 cups powder sugar. sifted
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cups european butter or raw organic, softened
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract or any extract you like
  • - about 1/4 half/half or milk

How To Make marg christofferson's sugar cookies

  • Step 1
    Beat the egg whites stiff. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Cream the butter and sugar. Add the egg yolks, salt and beat. Sift in the dry ingredients and mix. Add the cream and the egg whites. Mix. If the dough is a little wet add a tad bit more flour.
  • Step 3
    Roll out on a lightly floured board and cut with cookie cutters. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 425* (hot oven) until bottoms are a golden brown.
  • Step 4
    You can sprinkle the tops of the cookies with sugar before baking or cool them and then frost them.
  • Step 5
    To make the frosting add the powdered sugar and butter together and mix till well blended. Add the vanilla and mix. Add half/half or the milk slowly to get the consistency you want for frosting.
