2 call purpose flour,unbleached
2 1/2 tspbaking powder
1/4 tspbaking soda
6 Tbspbutter or vegetable shortering,melted
1/2 creduced fat buttermilk
1/2 craisins or chocolate chips
How to Make Irish Scones
- Heat oven to 400 degrees.Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- In another bowl lightly beat eggs,mix in melted butter and buttermilk.Add liquids to dry ingredients,mix to combine.Mix in raisins or chocolate chips.
- Divide dough into thirds.On a floured board pat each piece into a 1 inch thick circle.
- Cut each circle into quarters. Transfer wedges to baking sheet.Bake until golden,15 minutes.Serve warm.
