Ingredients

  • 8 c
    all purpose flour , not self rising
  • 1/3 c
    baking powder
  • 2 tsp
    salt
  • 8 tsp
    granulated sugar
  • 1 c
    crisco shortening, only

How to Make Homemade Bisquick Mix

Step-by-Step

  1. Measure out the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and shortening into a deep mixing bowl.
  2. Mix ingredients together with a hand held mixer or a food processor.
  3. The mix will look like coarse meal. Store mix in a covered container in the refrigerator.
  4. Use this mix the same as the store bought kind. Do not sift.
  5. Keeps 4 to 5 months in refrigerator.
