elvis's peanut butter/banana oatmeal cookies

This is a very tasty cookie and one that Elvis loved as well. Filled with bananas, peanut butter and oatmeal, and nuts... Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 2 large eggs, well beaten
  • 1 cup mashed bananas, about 2 medium very ripe
  • 2 teaspoons banana extract
  • 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup old fashioned oatmeal
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

How To Make elvis's peanut butter/banana oatmeal cookies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350^. Lightly grease cookie sheets. In the large bowl of your mixer, cream the butter, peanut butter, and sugar' add eggs, bananas, and banana extract, mix well. Remove bowl from mixer.
  • Step 2
    Combine flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda and add to mixer bowl, mix well with a heavy spoon . Add oatmeal blend in- add nuts mix until blended in.
  • Step 3
    Drop by rounded Tablespoon into granulated sugar and roll into a ball. Place on cookie sheets. Press each cookie ball down with the ball of the spoon. Bake in 350^ oven for 15 minutes.(correct time)0 but check at 12 your oven may be different.
