An old fashioned favorite- the sugar coating makes the top of the cookie crackle while cookies are baking. Kraft 75 year anniversary cookbook. I have made these many times- delicious!!

Ingredients For crackle top peanut butter cookies

  • 3/4 c
    margarine
  • 1/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 c
    creamy peanut butter
  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 c
    baking cocoa powder

How To Make crackle top peanut butter cookies

    Cream margarine, and sugars until light and fluffy. Blend in peanut butter, egg and vanilla. Add combined dry ingredients; mix well. Shape rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls; roll in granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375^, 10-12 minutes.
