CRUST

2 c
all purpose flour
1/2 c
sugar, granulated
1/2 c
butter, room temperature
2
eggs

FILLING

1/3 c
apricot jam
1/2 c
butter
2/3 c
granulated sugar
3
eggs
1 1/3 c
ground almonds
1 tsp
almond extract
1 c
sliced almonds

GLAZE

1/2 c
strained apricot jam
1-2 tsp
almond liqueur, orange juice, or water

How to Make Apricot Almond Tart

Step-by-Step

  • 1CRUST: Combine first three ingredients in a food processor or with a pastry blender until crumbly. Add eggs, mixing dough to form a ball. Press dough with floured fingers into bottom and sides of an 11 inch flan pan.
  • 2FILLING: Spread jam over bottom of crust. Combine remaining ingredients except sliced almonds, mixing until smooth. Spread over jam in crust. Sprinkle with almonds.
  • 3Bake at 350 degrees F. for 35-40 minutes, or until golden.
  • 4GLAZE: Combine glaze ingredients. Spread over warm tart.
