  • CRUST

  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    sugar, granulated
  • 1/2 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 2
    eggs
  • FILLING

  • 1/3 c
    apricot jam
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 2/3 c
    granulated sugar
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 1/3 c
    ground almonds
  • 1 tsp
    almond extract
  • 1 c
    sliced almonds
  • GLAZE

  • 1/2 c
    strained apricot jam
  • 1-2 tsp
    almond liqueur, orange juice, or water

How to Make Apricot Almond Tart

Step-by-Step

  1. CRUST: Combine first three ingredients in a food processor or with a pastry blender until crumbly. Add eggs, mixing dough to form a ball. Press dough with floured fingers into bottom and sides of an 11 inch flan pan.
  2. FILLING: Spread jam over bottom of crust. Combine remaining ingredients except sliced almonds, mixing until smooth. Spread over jam in crust. Sprinkle with almonds.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 35-40 minutes, or until golden.
  4. GLAZE: Combine glaze ingredients. Spread over warm tart.
