I like a good brownie, and I love a good cheesecake, so why not combine the two together… It’s a marriage made in heaven. This dish is not about ingredients, as much as it is about presentation. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

Ingredients
- PLAN/PURCHASE
- CHEESCAKE INGREDIENTS
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/4 cup sugar, granulated variety, or sugar substitute
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 medium lemon, just the zest
- BROWNIE INGREDIENTS
- 4 tablespoons sweet butter, unsalted (use clarified, if possible)
- 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate
- 1/2 cup bitter sweet chocolate
- 1/2 cup sugar, granulated variety, or sugar substitute
- 2 large eggs
- 2/3 cup flour, all-purpose variety
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, kosher variety, fine grind
How To Make tremendous cheesecake brownies

Step 1PREP/PREPARE

Step 2THE CHEESECAKE

Step 3Gather your ingredients.

Step 4Place all of the ingredients for the cheesecake into a bowl.

Step 5Use a whisk or blender stick to thoroughly mix all the ingredients, and reserve.

Step 6THE BROWNIE

Step 7Add some water to a double boiler, and place over medium heat.

Step 8Add the butter, and both types of chocolate.

Step 9Stir the mixture until blended.

Step 10Remove from the heat, and then add the sugar, and eggs.

Step 11Stir until fully incorporated.

Step 12Add the flour, baking powder and salt to a large bowl, and whisk to combine.

Step 13Add the melted chocolate, and stir until fully incorporated.

Step 14THE ASSEMBLY

Step 15Chef’s Note: I’m using a mini cheesecake pan to bake these; however, you could put them into simple paper baking cups.

Step 16Place a rack in the middle position, and preheat the oven to 320 (160c).

Step 17Add 1 tablespoon of the brownie mix to the bottom of the paper baking cup, or pan.

Step 18Add 1 tablespoon of the cheesecake mixture to the top of the brownie mix.

Step 19Complete by adding 1 tablespoon of brownie mix to the top.

Step 20Chef’s Note: Repeat for the remaining brownie/cheesecakes.

Step 21Place into the preheated oven until fully baked, about 20 to 25 minutes.

Step 22Chef's Note: Allow to fully cool before serving.

Step 24Place one on a serving dish, and garnish with a bit of whipped cream, and maybe a lemon twist. Enjoy.
