This is the frosting to use on the sauerkraut cake. Please make sure you use this frosting because it makes the cake. I do hope you enjoy the combination.

Ingredients

6 ounces semisweet chocolate pieces
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar [you may need up to 2 3/4 cups til you get right consistency.]

How To Make sour cream chocolate frosting

Step 1

Melt chocolate and butter. Blend in sour cream, vanilla, and salt. Gradually add confectioners sugar until frosting is of spreading consistency. Beat well.
