- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted first
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped

Step 1Line a loaf pan with foil and butter well;set aside. In a heavy bottomed saucepan, melt the butter and add the sugar, Cook over low heat for 2 minutes;stirring constantly.

Step 2Increase the heat to medium and add the milk; continue to cook and stir,until the mixture comes to a boil. Remove from the heat and let cool for 35 minutes. Gently stir in the powdered sugar a little at a time until the mixture is like fudge. Stir in the nuts.

Step 3Spread in prepared buttered 9x5 inch loaf pan. Chill;and cut into squares.
