I had a whole bunch of sweet ingredients in my kitchen. I decided to experiment today. I came up with this recipe. It is really good. I love my sweets. This is a nice treat. I will make this again for my Holiday parties.

Ingredients

  • 2 packages 10 ounce packages of peanut butter chips
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 4 cups rice krispies
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon shortening
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
  • TOP LAYER
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon shortening

How To Make crispy peanut butter fudge bars by noreen

  • Step 1
    Measure the rice Krispies,walnuts,and (marshmallows if desired)in to a big bowl
  • Step 2
    Empty the 2 pkgs of peanut butter chips in to a double boiler with 2 Tablespoon of shortening,and 1 Tablespoon creamy peanut butter
  • Step 3
    heat the chips stirring until melted. When done melting empty peanut butter mixture in to rice Krispie mixture. Blend really well.
  • Step 4
    Put mixture in a parchment paper,or wax paper lined pan.Let cool for about 30 minutes. Take a 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and sprinkle on top of mixture. Press chips in to top of bars and Refrigerate 1 hour.
  • Step 5
    take the other 1/2 cup of Chocolate mini chips melt in microwave with one tablespoon of shortening. stir until melted.
  • Step 6
    get the chilled peanut butter mix,and take the melted chocolate and evenly drizzle all over the top of it. use a spoon to spread the chocolate evenly over the top. Refrigerate again for 30 minutes.
  • Step 7
    Take out of fridge. cut in to bars and enjoy. Keep in a cool place stored.
