Me and sister loved all our country breads.But lately i had to find my old recipe of my yummy dark brown bread. i ALSO added small amount dark raisins.

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    whole-wheat flour
  • 3/4 c
    dark seedless raisins.
  • 1/4 c
    splendor
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/4 c
    plain yogurt (or buttermilk )
  • 3/4 c
    light molasses
  • 1 large
    egg
  • ·
    enjoy it with real good butter, or homemade jams.yummy

How to Make YUMMY NEW England brown bread?????

Step-by-Step

  1. PREHEAT OVEN To 350*


    Grease 9"by 5" metal loaf pan.


    IN Large bowl, combine flours, raisins, sugar ,baking soda,and salt.

    STIR in yogurt or buttermilk, molasses, and eggs until batter ,is just mixed.(batter will be very wet ver )wet
  2. POUR Batter into loaf pan.
    BAKE Bread for 55 minutes to 60 minutes,until toothpick comes out clean
  3. WITH Spatula,loosen bread from sides of pan.
    REMOVE bread from; cool slightly on wire rack to be serve warm. OR COOL IT COMPLETELY TO SERVE LATER.
  4. REFRIGERATE Brown bread,so that it will not spoiled.
    YOU CAN DOUBLE THIS RECIPE TO MAKE MORE THAN ONE. ONE LOAF IS NOT ENOUGH. ENJOY IT .From my kitchen to yous. Happycook diva.
