We were invited a couple of weeks ago to our Dear Friend's house for dinner and cards. They were teaching us to play "hand & foot". Hilarious time! Our wonderful Hostess served up a raw apple cake w/cream cheese frosting w/a twist, she used a combination of almond and vanilla extracts! A Home Run for sure!! The next week i made a carrot cake for a birthday @ my Husbands work and made my Friends cream cheese frosting...

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened [not light or whipped]
- 3 3/4 cups powdered sugar [1 lb]
- 1 teaspoon almond extract, pure
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, pure
How To Make twisted cream cheese frosting

Step 1Cream softened [not melted] butter and cream cheese, till light and fluffy.

Step 2Add powdered sugar 1/4 at a time, mixing on low until incorporated.

Step 3Add extracts on low speed. Whip until light and fluffy. This Frosting will seem pretty soft but will harden up as it sits and cools. This generously frosts the top and sides of an over-sized 9x13 pampered chef stoneware pan
