strawberry cream cheese cake
This recipe is a family favorite; I make it every holiday! Sometimes I am asked to make two - my older sister loves this cake; therefore, I have to make her one just so she can take it home. My daughter-in-law loves this cake just as much also. So, around the holidays, this is a MUST!

Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 stick butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 9 ounces cool whip
- 21 ounces strawberry pie filling
How To Make strawberry cream cheese cake

Step 1Cake - Cook the cake mix according to directions on box, making 2 layers. Cool completely. Slice each layer (2 layers) in half, making 4 layers.

Step 2Frosting - With mixer, beat together cream cheese, butter, sugar, powdered sugar, and cool whip.

Step 3Put first layer of cake on the plate. Spread the frosting (from previous step) and pour 1/3 of the strawberry pie filling onto the bottom layer. Repeat next two layers. Then, frost the rest of the cake on sides and top. Refrigerate several hours.
