st. peter's cheese cake in a bowl

I have no idea how this recipe got it's name- but was collected from Sister Bede, about 1959. Very low calorie and very tasty.

Ingredients

  • 3 packages knox unflavored gelatine
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 4 cups dairy buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • 5 teaspoons sweetner
  • 20 ounces crushed pineapple in its own juice,drained well

How To Make st. peter's cheese cake in a bowl

  • Step 1
    Soften gelatine in cold water in a small saucepan. Stir and dissolve over low heat. Place in blender with buttermilk, vanilla, sweetener,and pineapple. Pulse to blend. Pour into a buttered glass bowl. Refrigerate until set.
