sour cream chocolate banana cake
This is one of my mom's favorite recipes tweaked by me- her cake,"Banana Cream Cake" I have posted also.. my family likes this version also. The sour cream and cocoa give this just a little more umph!Try it see what you think.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup buttery crisco
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 large bananas, mashed
- 3/4 cup dairy sour cream
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup baking cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
How To Make sour cream chocolate banana cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 350^. Spray a 9x13-inch baking pan, or 2 8-inch round baking pans. Set aside.

Step 2Cream shortening and sugars. Add unbeaten eggs one at a time. Add mashed bananas and sour cream. Beat well to combine. Add 1 cup of the flour, beat in.

Step 3Place the cocoa powder , soda,and baking powder in the remaining cup of flour and mix together to blend;then add to the batter. Stir in the nuts. Pour into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Test with wooden toothpick for doneness. Frost if desired with chocolate frosting and nuts sprinkled on top. For the layer cake; mix up instant banana pudding for middle and top..frost sides,sprinkle nuts on top.
