I got this recipe years ago from my good friend and co-worker while I was living in WA state. However I never wrote down the actual title of the recipe. Finding it years later in my recipe box, I decided to make it to find out what it was and gave it a name. Enjoy!

prep time 20 Min
cook time 30 Min
method Bake
yield 6-8 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 3 ounces box vanilla pudding, not instant
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 - egg
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 can peaches, canned in heavy syrup,sliced-do not drain right away
  • 3 tablespoons peach syrup
  • - cinnamon, optional

How To Make scott's just peachy dessert

  • Step 1
Set oven to 350*. Grease a 9-10 inch pie plate and set aside. I used a deep dish just so nothing ran off the sides.
  • Step 2
Combine the first 7 ingredients with a hand mixer. Pour into your greased pie plate. Bake for 30-35 min. The cake will be golden in color, a little brown around the edges.
  • Step 3
Meanwhile, combine the cream cheese, sugar and 3T of the peach syrup and mix together. You can now drain the peaches. Discard the remaining syrup.
  • Step 4
After the cake has cooled (will be a bit dense), spread the cream cheese mixture on top. Then top with the peaches from the can. Sprinkle cinnamon if you wish. Enjoy!
