- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs, well beaten
- 1/3 cup butter
- 2 cups flour, unbleached
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk, whole
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups fresh chopped peaches
- - whipped cream
How To Make peach fritters

Step 1Cream the butter and sugar, add the eggs and beat thoroughly.

Step 2Sift dry ingredients together and add the milk slowly.

Step 3Fold in peaches, lemon juice and vanilla.

Step 4Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot fat. Fry golden brown. Serve with whipped cream or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
