- 1 1/3 cups flour
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 3 - eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons orange zest
- 1 teaspoon yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- SYRUP
- 1 - orange
- 3 cups orange juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- TOPPING
- 1/3 cup pine nuts
- 16 - orange segments
How To Make olive oil and orange cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees brush 8 inch cake pan with olive oil and dust with flour mixed with sugar

Step 2Beat eggs with sugar for 4 min add milk olive oil , cream and zest

Step 3mix flour yeast and salt together then incorporate into batter mix well let batter rest 20 min

Step 4pour batter into pan bake 30 min till toothpick inserted n center comes out clean let cool and remove from pan

Step 5for syrup...remove zest from orange . place zest sugar and orange juice in pan ...heat and cook till thickened about 1 hour

Step 6strain syrup and pour over cake allow to soak in

Step 7lightly toast pine nuts

Step 8arrange orange segments on cake and sprinkle with pine nuts
