This recipe was passed on down to me by my mother.And now to both of my daughters.I have changed it a little,but it still has the same great taste. And everyone asks me to make Cheese cake for all occations.

Ingredients
- 3 packages cream cheese
- 1 cup sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 15 ounces container sour cream
- 1/2 cup sugar for sour cream mixture
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
How To Make new york cheesecake

Step 1Soften cream cheese to room temp. Add sugar 1 cup. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating on med speed until, well blended and cream cheese mixture is smooth.

Step 2Grease a springform pan,with cooking spray and a little flour. Pour batter into pan. Place in 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes. When light brown remove from oven and mix the 1/2 cup of sugar with the sour cream. Place on top of cake and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Remove from oven let cool.Refrigerate for about 3 hours or overnight.
