This recipe for McKenzie's Buttermilk Donuts is from Tastee Bakery who bought out some of their recipes. They are just a simple buttermilk donut ball.

all purpose flour
1/4 c
granulated sugar
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
baking powder
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 Tbsp
melted butter
1/2 c
dairy buttermilk
canola oil for frying

How to Make McKenzie's Buttermilk Drop Donuts


  • 1Whisk together the first 6 ingredients in a medium bowl.
  • 2Add remaining ingredients to the dry and stir just until moistened well.
  • 3Drop by spoonful in a steady 350^ temperature pan of canola oil. Fry until golden.
    Remove and drain on paper toweling.
  • 4Dip in powdered sugar glaze or shake in a cinnamon/sugar mixture;or just eat them plain.
