I like to say this recipe is a close cousin to my recipe for "Mayonnaise Cake". This recipe uses no eggs, butter and milk.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

How To Make magic cake

  • Step 1
    In large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients together.
  • Step 2
    Combine all wet ingredients together in bowl.
  • Step 3
    Pour the liquid ingredients all at once onto dry ingredients. Beat until smooth.
  • Step 4
    Pour batter into a greased 9x13 in. pan.
  • Step 5
    Bake in a preheated, 350 oven. Bake 20-25 minutes. Let cool in pan. Once cooled, sprinkle with confectionary sugar.
