Good easy glaze for Angel Food cake.

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 c
    sifted confectioner's sugar (icing sugar)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    lemon rind, grated

How to Make Lemon Glaze for cakes


  1. Heat milk and butter together. Measure sugar into a bowl, add hot liquid, and stir until smooth.
  2. Then add the lemon juice and rind. Pour over cake, letting it run down the sides.
  3. Yield: makes enough for glaze to cover a 9 inch or 10 inch tube cake.
    I like this especially well on Angel Food cake.
