Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup sifted confectioner's sugar (icing sugar)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon rind, grated
How To Make lemon glaze for cakes

Step 1Heat milk and butter together. Measure sugar into a bowl, add hot liquid, and stir until smooth.

Step 2Then add the lemon juice and rind. Pour over cake, letting it run down the sides.

Step 3Yield: makes enough for glaze to cover a 9 inch or 10 inch tube cake. I like this especially well on Angel Food cake.
