Good easy glaze for Angel Food cake.

Ingredients

1 1/2 Tbsp
milk
1 Tbsp
butter
1 c
sifted confectioner's sugar (icing sugar)
1 1/2 Tbsp
lemon juice
1/2 tsp
lemon rind, grated

How to Make Lemon Glaze for cakes

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat milk and butter together. Measure sugar into a bowl, add hot liquid, and stir until smooth.
  • 2Then add the lemon juice and rind. Pour over cake, letting it run down the sides.
  • 3Yield: makes enough for glaze to cover a 9 inch or 10 inch tube cake.
    I like this especially well on Angel Food cake.
